Ok as we head into 2010 I thought it was time to give the site and blog a make over. Hope you like it! East meet West is now entering it’s 13th year online. Wow how times flies! I hope it’s a lucky one. Of course I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year, if you’re reading this post in August most of the year has been and gone and I trust it went well!

When I saw this picture below I couldn’t resist posting it here. This is thought to be a Russian bride and her dress doesn’t leave much to the imagination does it. It’s been seen all over the net and apologies if you’ve already seen it!

For those men who have some Russian language ability here is a very attractive lady from Ukraine called Olga. She doesn’t have any foreign language ability so if you speak Russian (I know there are some of you who speak Russian) it will put you at a great advantage.

Unfortunately a lot of women with children and low foreign language ability do get ignored which isa great shame because there are 100’s of very attractive women who would make great partners.

I love this report about Mel Gibson. It’s written with exactly the tone I use when talking about this so called A list  ‘actor’. I don’t like him! Simple as that. He makes dreadful movies and likes nothing better to take a pop at us Poms whenever he can. The factually inept ‘Braveheart’ is a classic example of directors licence. Pandering to the masses created a film that was so historically incorrect it was an embarassment.

He followed it up with another dreadful pop at the English with that American Civil War film. There you go I can’t even remember the title of it! Anyone who makes Lethal Weapon 4 should have realised it’s time to give it a rest and let the real actors like Steven Seagul to entertain us with his jaw dropping Oscar performances

Anyway back to the story!

Ageing lothario Mel Gibson’s latest squeeze Oksana Grigorieva is reported to be pregnant.

If true, the baby will be his eighth after fathering seven with wife Robyn – that’s one lethal weapon he’s got there.

It’s not yet been confirmed if Gibson has acknowledged the baby is his or whether he’s blaming the Jews for it, but bookies Paddy Power are already betting on what he will name it.

Max (after his Mad Max films) is a wellbacked 8-1 chance, but I’ve had a little tickle on Thunderdome. There’s fury that gold-digging temptress Oksana, whose life so far seems to have consisted of shacking up with rich men, is calling herself a singer, and presumably sniggers that Gibson is still calling himself an actor.

I heard he was so bad when trying out for his first school play that when he asked the drama teacher what she would like him to play, the teacher responded ‘truant’.

It’s 6-4 for Mel and his rubber-lipped partner to get hitched before the end of the year – apparently that tends to be what women want.

Victory Day – 9th May

On the 9th May Russian people celebrate the victory over Germany in the Second World War, remembering those who fell in order to achieve it. On the 9th May  the German military surrendered to the Soviet Union and the allies in Berlin. In fact the surrender was during the night of the 8th but due to the time zones for the people in Russia it actually happened on the 9th and this day was chosen. A military parade is held in Moscow to celebrate this day. This is one of the most celebrated occasions in the Russian calendar and one of their biggest Russian holidays.

Whatever you do please make sure you take a visit to the agency scams website. I have mentioned it before in posts but feel it deserves a little more attention. It is a very comprehensive site dedicated to outing all the agencies and Russian women who are involved in scamming men.

The owner does not hold back in his criticism and backs his claims up with evidence. A lot of men who have been scammed have sent this site all their correspondence and proof of being scammed. Much of it is published for all to see.

You can read and see photo’s of just over 4000 women who have been involved in scams or scamming. The names of russian scammers are listed in detail with known addresses, phone number and email addresses. You can search in alphabetical order and check their photo’s.

It doesn’t stop with just the Russian women who scam. No, the site also provides details of agencies who scam. There is a huge black list of agencies where reason for their listing is given. Also there is a current class A action lawsuit against one of the largest American owned agencies – Anastasia International, also known among others as AnastasiaWeb.

So what about the owner of this site. He is an American and he lives in Russia. He has nothing to gain from his site other than to make men aware of the pitfalls when searching for Russian women to marry. The site has not been created for financial gain. It is completely free to access and read. His recommended list does include sites where the owner gets a small % of any sale that results from a visit from his site.

I doubt he’s making millions from it!

I had to send you a link to this site ‘male order husbands‘. I found it while researching other sites to advertise on. There was a minute or 2 when I actaully thought it was for real, but after the second profile I realised it was a fake site.

But it is very funny to read! The profiles are hilarious and they are taking a dig at all the Russian brides sites that are out there today. But I’m not offended! This site made me laugh and that can’t be a bad thing these days.
