If you don’t already know March the 8th is ‘International Women’s Day‘ and the highlight of the calendar for all women in Russia, Ukraine and all the other Eastern European cities.

Briefly it is a day whereby the ladies men folk take care of their women for one day and shower them with gifts and flowers. It’s for celebrating women and is really taken seriously.

If you are in serious correspondence with a lady and forget to congratulate her on this day it will be a big black mark for you! I recommend sending her flowers or a single rose as the minimum congratulation.
